Job Description

Accounts Payable Specialist (Yardi Experience - Commercial Property Management)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage accounts payable transactions for multiple commercial properties using Yardi.

  • Review and verify invoices for accuracy, appropriate approvals, and compliance with lease agreements and vendor contracts.

  • Accurately code invoices to the correct GL accounts, cost centers, and property allocations.

  • Process vendor payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers while ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies in collaboration with property managers and vendors.

  • Assist with CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations and annual budget allocations.

  • Maintain accurate and organized AP records for audits and compliance.

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including AP accruals and expense reporting.

  • Communicate with vendors, property managers, and internal teams to resolve payment and invoice inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of accounts payable experience in a commercial property management or real estate environment.

  • Proficiency in Yardi is required.

  • Strong understanding of CAM reconciliations, lease terms, and property accounting principles.

  • Experience processing AP transactions across multiple properties.

  • Familiarity with tenant/vendor management and real estate operations.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a real estate investment trust (REIT), commercial property management firm, or real estate services company.

  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and lease accounting.

  • Pay DOE $25.00
